How to stop puppies from biting

Hi there my name is Melanie Jems and thanks for reading my blog. Make sure to read the end of my story because there is a very important lesson to be learned for non obedient puppy owners. Do not make the same mistake that I made and become complacent and just let your puppy have its way each time.

So ok let me introduce you to my adorable yorkie puppy Elvis.

He even started attacking other people’s body parts, too. I thought I will lose him but I beat his biting & chewing problem…

After his attacks he always tried to hide somewhere…

One day the inevitable puppy biting just happened like this starting with my sunglasses. Elvis just went nuts biting and chewing on everything he came across in the house.

When that happened I wasn’t watching him because in the beginning he was a real sweet and non violent puppy without any aggressiveness at all.  To say the least I was very upset with him and decided to punish him by not talking to him for a while maybe he would understand and change his behaviour.

Elvis did not make a connection at all and just ignored me. He went on with his furious biting attacks and even seemed to enjoy the disaster.

I immadiately knew that I needed help but since he was such a nice dog in the beginning I had no clue where to start looking for a solution. I really thought that his housebreaking period would never come because he behaved so well in the beginning.

Elvis made no efforts to stop his biting and chewing on things and on people’s body parts so I knew I had to make the effort and find a real solution. I went researching online and stumbled on all this ‘free tips’ on how to stop puppies from biting but this kind of information really did not satisfy me.

I was really thinking hard who could help me stop this wicked behavior of my puppy before it got out of hand? I remembered that I’d read an interesting statistic before. In that shocking statistic the #1 reason a puppy ends up in a shelter was because of biting training problems. I didn’t want Elvis to become a part of that frightening statistic.

Today I am ashamed to admit that I was about to take him to the pound after his many chewing attacks. At the time, he wasn’t  fun and games at all, I really thought hard about it.

I still wasn’t sure how I was supposed to train his biting. I heard horrible stories of those dog collars that can hurt a dog so much. I did not want to use any of these cruel type of dog training methods. I was clueless. And I think Elvis was too. So I again tried to find my luck online searching ‘how to stop puppies from biting.’

The first ad I saw was titled ‘Secrets To Dog Training‘…

That had my story written all over it. So I clicked…

The similarities between the people’s stories on that site and mine was the first thing that really hit me. Maybe you are different, but I feel more comfortable being able to read about other people’s problems that relate to mine. I noticed another thing. All these people were having success with this system. Dog lovers just like me, who all have almost given up with their puppies are now thanking Daniel  for helping them being able to keeping their beloved puppies.

I quickly read through the whole page and actually found it to be pretty educational… especially for a page that was designed to sell me something.

At that point I figured, what the heck, this book is cheap and if it doesn’t work, it’s no skin off of my back and if it does, I won’t have to take Elvis back. I even spotted a 60 day money guarantee so there was no risk involved for me at all.

I jumped at this opportunity and went and downloaded the course that was offered on their site called, Secrets to Dog Training, and began reading.

After getting Daniel’s system, I was literally blown away. This was not just a course on dog training as the title suggested. It is the most complete puppy and dog training tutorial I’ve ever imagined. It showed me how to use my puppy’s natural behavior.

What I found very valuable was the section on biting, nipping and mouthing problems (pages 68-72). I was putting one of the training lessons to use with Elvis immediately. I also made a list of training suggestions for the whole week.

I know that this may sound over the top and crazy – but within the next few days Elvis stopped looking for new targets to bite on. After one week of intensive training that I went through with him I even managed to finally get him back to being a good puppy like he was in the beginning. I got him to the point to use only his own toys to play with and chew on.

Finally, I have learned that beating the bad biting habits before they sink in and become normal is most critical.

Doing it right the first time is of utmost importance.
Some books tell give you some instructions and assume you as a dog owner know everything about it. This system assumes nothing. Daniel tells you what to do,  how to do it, when to do it, and why to do it. That’s the kind of attention to detail we’re talking about here.

The focus of the program is training your puppy, specifically BEFORE bad habits are molded… and then Daniel gives you step-by-step instructions to housebreak your puppy. And if that was not enough he also gives you some controversial information that goes against the grain of most of today’s dog trainers.

I bet you fall in love with the Daniel before it’s over with. He becomes almost family because he cares for you and your dog.

I completely followed his instructions from that point on. I have been using his dog training instructions with Elvis religiously and I haven’t had another problem with Elvis from that point on – and I don’t think I will ever again because I am following through with this.

I finally beat Elvis’s bad biting and chewing habits all by myself and Daniel’s course because I stopped believing all these so called dog trainers with the cruel methods. I remember one day when I was still searching for a solution my friend sent me to his dog trainer  and all this trainer was suggesting was to use a behavioral dog collar. You know these kind of dog collars that are really cruel and hurt the dog so that the dog will stop his behavior because of the pain he is feeling. I do not believe in these kind of methods. I believed in myself and Elvis and was not buying into any of this crap and expensive obedience gear.

I  just followed a few simple instructions from Daniel and it worked in a natural way. Can you believe this, all these cruel suggestions from professional dog trainers and coaches and I was able to use natural methods to get Elvis back on his track.

So there you have it and that’s my story. I almost lost my puppy but I did not let this happen. I beat Elvis’s biting habits!
